Privacy policy

Essense attaches great importance to your privacy and treats your personal data with due care.

It is good to know that we will only use your personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming). In this policy we will explain how Essense collects, uses and shares your personal information.

Personal data is any information that can be used to trace or distinguish an identifiable individual.

Information collection and use

We may ask you to provide us with certain personal data while using our websites essense.eu or www.academy.essense.eu (“website”) to contact or identify you because you are interested in our services, training offerings or a job.

We might have collected your personal data to provide services to you as a customer, as a (interested) participant for a training or using your services as a participant for (user) research.

Essense only uses your personal data for legitimate purposes (such as business purpose) when this is necessary for our legitimate interests related to the operation of the website, providing services, sharing information, direct marketing. And only when you provided your consent where necessary.

Examples of purposes to process personal data;

  • To execute agreements
  • For sending invoices and making payments
  • To establish and manage the relationship with our clients
  • To expand or improve our services
  • To answer your questions
  • To process applications
  • To process registrations
  • To provide information to user participants

Use of your personal data provided to us by a form and/or for any of the following purposes

When you’re a customer of Essense for project work or time hire, we store your business and contact data such as name, e-mail address, phone number and job title for the duration of the agreement or so much longer as necessary for providing the agreed services and/or for legal purposes (eg. finance and tax law).

When you apply for a job at Essense, we save your application information for 1 month after the application deadline. After this month, your data will be deleted or you will be asked for permission to keep your information for max. 1 year.

When you subscribe to our newsletter or download our whitepaper we will receive business and contact information provided by you and/or entered into a form such as name, e-mail address, phone number and job title, your data will be stored until unsubscribing.

When you register for one of our trainings or workshops we will collect your name, e-mail address, phone number and job title. We store this data as long as necessary for providing the services and follow-up. In case you agreed to receive information about future trainings and workshops we will store your data until unsubscribing.

When your data is used for our clients research, all data will be deleted after finishing the project.

Marketing Opt-out

You have the right to opt-out of receiving marketing communications at any time, please send an email to privacy@essense.eu or by using the “unsubscribe” option in every marketing email that you receive from us.

Sharing your personal data with third parties

Essense does not sell your personal data to third parties. Third parties that process your personal data on our behalf are carefully selected to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your personal data. These third parties will only receive the necessary data to perform the services in question.

Storage and removal of personal data

We only collect personal data that is adequate and relevant. We will timely remove and destroy irrelevant data. Your data will be stored as long as it is necessary to be able to provide and offer our services and/or is required by law.

A good security of our systems is essential and therefore we implemented reasonable and appropriate security measures to keep your data secure.

For analytic purposes and an excellent experience of our website, we use cookies (a small text file on your pc, tablet or mobile in which data is stored). View, modify or delete your personal data

You have the right to view or correct your personal data. Under circumstances you can also request to delete your personal data or object to the processing of the data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing of your personal date by Essense.
